Core functions

Modular design and standardized production processes for rapid development

Custom features include cable assemblies and harnesses.

Hot shoes, splitters, connectors, filter sockets, custom cables and custom wiring harnesses.

Customized Hot Shoe Solution

Eaton uses modular design and standardized production processes to facilitate the rapid development of custom plug/cable assemblies (shown above) and sockets (shown on the left). Other design options and features include:

Folding or pogo-pin contacts.

Single or redundant contacts with pointed, cup or round head geometry.

Tail configurations include through-hole, SMT, vertical mating, and right-angle mating.

The advantages of folding contacts include reducing impedance and eliminating the possibility of accumulation of contaminants between contacting parts

MIL-DTL -1837181.62cm inch 19 and 27 contact connector

These high contact density, 19-and 27-pin solutions support mixed audio, signal and data applications that require more contactors than MIL-DTL-55116 QPL connectors provide.

The gold-nickel contact is rated at 0.23 amperes and is rated for 3000 times.

The Vrms dielectric withstand voltage was 500.

Passivated stainless steel housing.

Solutions include EMI/RFI filtered sockets.

Custom features include cable assemblies and harnesses.

MIL-DTL-55181 power divider

A power distributor may be used to distribute power to multiple cables, plugs, or sockets.

The stacked connector shown on the left can distribute power without using Y-cables by installing plug contacts on the front mating surface and socket contacts on the rear.

The plug contacts of the stacking connector are connected to the battery. The internal contacts provide an electrical connection between the plug contacts, the connecting cable, and the receptacle contacts connected with the QPL connector stacked thereon. When the "piggyback" connector connected to the socket contacts is not used, the stacking connector functions the same as the MIL-DTL-55181 plug.

Filter container

EMI filtered sockets are available as standard products and custom solutions in five-pin and six-pin configurations, with all pins or only selected pins filtered.

The standard panel mount socket uses a low-pass π-type network ferrite ceramic capacitor. Each pin is surrounded by a filter, which is connected to the internal ground plane. The standard product design voltage is 100 VDC, and the dielectric withstand voltage is up to 500 VDC.

Custom solutions for panel mounting or cable mounting can be developed to meet the voltage, frequency and impedance requirements of a variety of specific applications. End-to-end filtering solution features include custom connector/cable assemblies.

Custom Cable Assemblies and Harnesses

Military and aerospace cable assembly and harness functions include overmolding, coaxial, flat ribbon, and fiber optics for power, data, and hybrid applications.

Solution development expertise includes operation in extreme environments, including extended temperature ranges, shock and vibration, radiation, EMI/RFI, corrosive contaminants, vacuum, and pressures up to 20,000 PSI.

In addition to providing turnkey design and manufacturing services for new projects, we also provide drawing manufacturing services for designs that can be put into production.
