Eaton's miniature wet-plug solutions are designed to provide a pressure rating of 10,000 PSI and withstand 1,000 cycles of insertion and removal. These high contact density BurtonTM subsea connectors and cable assemblies are available in MCBH bulkhead, MCIL in-line overmolding and dummy plug configurations.
Core Features
Housing diameter 0.61 inches (15.5mm), up to 8 contacts.
The housing has a diameter of 0.98 inches (25mm) and a maximum of 16 contacts.
Custom features include application-specific connectors and cable assemblies.
Miniaturized size of MCBH and MCIL connectors
Eaton mini wet-plug connectors share many of the same design features as BurtonTM standard size wet-plug solutions that have been field proven in a variety of demanding applications including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), military subsea, oil and gas exploration and marine research:
The bulkhead connector uses color-coded wires instead of white wires with numbered labels, making wire tracing easier and more reliable.
The curved shoulder and insulating shoulder on the contact pin help to plug faster on rough seas.
Locking sleeves are not required, but models with shoulders or snap rings are available for quick installation at any time during bulkheads and cable plugging.
Press contacts are easier to install in the field than welded contacts and are less prone to bending fatigue.
Custom Connectors and Cable Assemblies
A range of field-proven technologies and design platforms enable rapid development of subsea connectors and cable assemblies for specific applications. Some customization features include:
Application-specific plug-in arrangements and materials.
Extreme pressure, temperature, mechanical stress and corrosive agents.
High current solutions designed for underwater motors, pumps and offshore wind farms.
Provide drawing manufacturing services for designs that can be put into production immediately.
